My client, a leading Fintech company with a global presence are actively seeking to expand. As a result of this they are looking for a Solutions Business Consultant.
Working on an industry leading product which has experienced enormous success around the world, the successful candidate will enjoy a diverse and challenging role and will play a key part in the delivery of the solution to various customers such as central and commercial banks.
Broadly speaking the successful candidate will take ownership of customer engagement from the point of feasibility studies, provides consultancy and advice throughout the sales & business case cycle. This includes overseeing the delivery of solutions into customer, and remaining a point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle.
This is a customer facing role, with approximately 40% of the time spent in customer engagement, 40% overseeing design and delivery and 20% internal focus.
Overview of Key Duties
Work with the sales team to develop a strong pipeline of sales by: -
> Understanding and Influencing Customer requirements
> Advising Customers on solutions to these needs
> Communicating value propositions
> Developing winning solution proposals
> Assisting with devising and implementing a winning sales strategy
> Assist in the preparation and submission of high quality proposals to Customers.
> Work with the Product Management Team on the development of the product roadmap
> Document & agree design specifications in partnership with customers & third parties
> Manage customer relationships at all levels to ensure full satisfaction with performance from formal contract signed-off through delivery and services supplied to post project review meetings.
> Manage internal project team and subcontractors’ personnel to achieve the project plan and objectives.
> Ensure best practice is followed by assisting and guiding project teams in selling scope and phasing to customers
This role would be well-suited to a candidate from perhaps a Pre-Sales, Business Analyst or Business Consultancy background.
The client is looking for someone with
> Previous experience in a complex solution selling environment.
> Previous experience in preparing, developing and replying to customer proposal including complex formal business tenders.
> Experience of delivering high value projects in a project management or implementation position would be beneficial
> Basic level understanding of software development methodologies, technologies and tools
> Good attention to detail
> Ability to identify commercial issues and areas of business risk
> Strong team skills with ability to work closely with other functions within the business to achieve targets.
> High motivation to succeed
> Creativity and ability to think outside the box
> Commercial Acumen
> The ability to build strong external relationships with customers and partners
* It is considered beneficial if candidates understand database platforms such as Oracle and MS SQL Server and an understanding of ITC infrastructure (such as hardware and operating systems).
The successful candidate can expect a very competitive salary of up to £60,000.
