Bioinformatician- Norfolk- Permanent
Based in Norfolk and London, my client is a global leader in advanced agronomic technologies.
Due to a fantastic period of growth at the Norfolk site, they are looking for an experienced bioinformatician to help develop novel genome editing platforms and product pipelines.
Your primary role will be to identify, invent, develop and implement computational biology methods to support the development of gene editing based technology and products. Spanning areas such as host/pathogen analysis, disease indications, sequence analysis, comparative genomics, pathways, networks, gene and regulatory RNA expression; you must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast changing environment, and be able to communicate complex biological mechanisms, methods, analyses and results to scientists from diverse backgrounds.
The successful candidate will have:
? Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics-related subject, preferably with 3-5 years postdoc and/or industry experience (MSc with extensive experience will be considered)
? Experience in developing automated pipelines, mining large-scale genomic and RNA datasets, developing custom analysis tools and establishing internal repository data resources
? Plant genomics background
