I’m representing a pioneering company based in France who specialise in the production of sustainable, premium Proteins for use in Aquaculture and pet nutrition. With global population on the rise and an expected 70% Human food calorie gap by 2050, my client is working against the clock to create a cleantech, sustainable alternative to traditional nutritional methods.

Due to continued success and the recent opening of a first-of-its-kind new facility, my client is looking to expand. They are currently looking for a Computer Vision/AI developer to work on developing, improving and extending their characterisation software.

As a Computer Vision & AI specialist, you will be tasked with discovering optimal tools for visual data acquisition and processing. You will train algorithms to recognise and extract features from images, enabling classification based on pattern recognition of known characteristics whilst proposing new classifications based on new characteristics.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on the full scope of the project, from the acquisition of data processing tools, analysis, through to implementation. You will work closely with both Operators and Quality Control team members, as well as with those responsible for the rearing and breeding, in order to identify features and translate them into data form.

You will then work to build autonomous processes to enable the integration of existing data collection, with the data collected by the image analysis.

• Basic theoretical knowledge or affinity with life sciences
• Affinity with intellectual work
• Autonomy, good interpersonal skills, initiative, taste for experimentation and teamwork

This role presents an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a great Computer Vision & AI team within a company which has received multiple awards, including being voted 1 of the top 100 Cleantech companies in 2018.

If you are looking to take the next step in your career in computer vision and you have a passion for enabling a brighter future for the world we live in, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
