The Role The Innovations business is on the cusp of some large contracts in both AR and VR and needs to grow to execute. It’s here where you step in – my client need someone to grow their optical design capability, serving both the VR and Eyewear needs. The Process Engineering Manager will lead and direct the company’s propriety fluid manufacturing process technology. Working closely with the Optical Technology and Design Engineering teams, the role requires the specification of new and development of existing process capability to deliver the next generation of adjustable lens technology. You will have a broad knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, and the suppliers of equipment to deliver these. The process challenge will require working with precision components and processes to tight tolerances in a clean room environment. You will be expected to manage a small team of engineers and to lead process characterization in parallel with engineering concept design, and then to specify, procure and modify process equipment. You will also be required to manage prototyping activities on the line to execute samples for internal and external evaluation.
