My client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team and work on developing their discovery platform. The successful candidate will work with their dynamic and highly motivated interdisciplinary teams to help coordinate the discovery and development of therapeutics for unmet medical needs. + Analyse, report and provide critical insight into deployment of the company’s R&D resources for current and future projects (effort, duration, and interdependencies of projects). + Ensure industry best practice project management processes and tools are consistently used across the site including robust risk analysis. + Identify project/programme risks and communicate with key stakeholders to mitigate the impact of risks to project completion. + Coordinate communications with internal and external stakeholders, to understand specific requirements, clarifying expectations and monitoring satisfaction level. The successful candidate will be creative, dynamic and become an integral part of their highly motivated and passionate team, helping to drive the discovery and development of therapeutics for unmet medical needs. Role Requirements: + PhD / MSc / MRes in biochemistry, molecular biology, synthetic biology, directed evolution or 2-3 years equivalent industry experience. + Deep expertise in establishing and integrating Phage Display in a cross functional molecular biology laboratory, with a strong appreciation for maintaining aseptic techniques and the avoidance of cross contamination. + In depth understanding of alternative cell display systems (i.e. Yeast Display, Bacterial Display), with an awareness of the current state of the art and respective advantages for therapeutic discovery. + Experience in developing, validating, and optimising high-throughput selection assays alongside proven experience in engineering novel functionality within a target protein. + An ability to communicate results both internally and to external collaborators or commercial partners. This will be a challenging role with a broad scope and requires candidates with excellent organisational and people skills. The successful candidate will work within the Inventory & Order Management team who are responsible for the management of inventory, spares procurement and order fulfillment. Purpose of the Job As a global business with myriad business units and customers, the overarching purpose of this role is to administrate requests to fulfil orders and replenish inventory, ensuring that requests are registered, acknowledged prioritised and expedited from initial receipt through fulfillment and invoicing. Snapshot of Responsibilities - Provide quotations, delivery times and part number assistance - Ensure timely processing of customer orders and the efficient resolution of customer queries. - Execute order placement (including recommendation for action if customer is on credit hold, or coordination of pre-payment activity, order acknowledgement - Reserve stock against Orders and issue Picks and provide list of Picks to the warehouse - Archive key order details (PO, SOA, customer supporting paperwork such as emails, FOC and Warranty details) such as to provide auditors with clarity on all issues - Oversee and ensure compliance with customers’ Letters of Credit. - Track issues with deliveries and provide support to both the customer and freight agent to ensure all freight and customs clearance requirements are met - Work closely with the warehouse to ensure that all stock/shipping issues are resolved in a timely manner - Provide administrative support to the field-based sales force. - Invoice customer orders (Spares Orders) and work with accounts department and the customer to resolve invoicing issues Procurement Responsibilities Include - Monitor inventory stock. This includes observing whether the appropriate items have arrived and determining what needs to be reordered. - Prepare purchase orders and send the order requests to suppliers. Update records and follow up with vendors to check if the orders are being processed. - Build strong relationships with key contacts within the supply companies, working with them closely to fix problems as quickly as possible.
