They have over 2000 clients on a global scale and are currently expanding their research section relation to nutrition, diet and health Most of the work is undertaken at the Gloucestershire site. The team works on around 450 projects per year for approximately 225 clients. Their clients are at all stages of development: start up through to blue chip private companies. They also work with public sector bodies such as the FSA The Role The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver research and contract projects in the area of nutrition for and on behalf of client companies with the support of a small team under consultation with their line manager. This will involve (but will not be limited to) business development through face to face meetings and presentations to technical and non technical audiences. This role will be responsible for staff development and training in the area of nutrition. Planning and delivery of research and contract projects, supported by direct reports as appropriate in consultation with your line manager or others within the wider business, to include appropriate time management skills. Interpretation of results and preparation of client reports to agreed standards. Design and provision of training courses and presentations (PowerPoint) on external/internal training courses, seminars and symposia. Responding to direct technical enquiries using information retrieved from relevant sources. Through development and implementation of business development strategies, stimulate areas of research, contract and training in line with the focus area for the job and relevant sectional finance targets. You will have A minimum of a BSc in Nutrition or a relevant scientific subject or equivalent. Technical knowledge of the food industry (science and technology) across multiple food sectors with 5 to 10 years proven experience in nutrition and the development of nutritious products. Strong managerial and people management skills Full UK/EU driving licence. Effective project management skills from recent experience.
