    In Vitro ADME Scientist My client are a mid sized clinical stage biotechnology company focusing on the discovery and development of small molecule therapies, many of which are based on proprietary disease-modifying drug targets in disease areas for which there is a need for safe and effective medicines. Due to ongoing development they are now looking for an In Vitro ADME Scientist to join the drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department who work closely with biology and medicinal chemistry staff as part of the drug discovery process. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in vitro ADME with a MSc or PHD in a Life Science discipline and conducting in vitro DMPK assays and LC-MS/MS bioanalysis in drug discovery environment. Previous experience in design and conduct of enzyme and / or cell based in vitro DMPK assays, routine quantitative LC-MS/MS bionalysis, data processing and method development, assay automation, cell culture and enzyme kinetic data modelling along with validation of new enzyme / cell based DMPK assays. Salaries for this position are up to £35,000 depending on your own experience.

The Role: As a Research Scientist you will be responsible for protein library design and construction, selection and screening and characterization of leads using various molecular and biochemical methods. You should have experience in molecular biology techniques, protein engineering and display technology (cell-free systems or phage display/Ribosome Display). Also protein expression and purification, protein biochemistry, sequence analysis, cell culture and high-throughput screening. The Requirements The role requires a MSc in a relevant subject along within 2-3 years experience working with a biotechnology company or pharmaceutical industry using all the techniques required. Having previous experience in the skills is a must although some training can be given. They are keen to see people with Bacterial or Yeast Display or investigated protein to protein invectors. The Package Great Benefits on offer with the chance to work for a growing biotechnology company. Salaries are £24,000 to £28,000 depending on experience. They are located within purpose-fitted laboratories at the Oxford Science Park, just South of Oxford. They are currently in a phase of rapid expansion and are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic scientists and engineers to join the team and help facilitate the next stage of their development as a company. They are currently looking for an Analytical Scientist. The suitable candidate will be involved in a range of internal platform development and commercial projects, predominantly focused on establishing analytical processes and methodology for protein and viral vector-based biotherapeutics. Our client has a number of on-going programmes in this area, and multiple government supported grant awards, which the recipient will contribute towards. This will be a predominantly lab-based position and will work closely with the Cell Line Development and Process Development teams to define and design projects. An ability to rapidly assimilate information and to learn new techniques and approaches is essential, as is high-level attention to detail and scientific rigour. Experience in developing multiple analytical techniques and authoring SOPs is absolutely required. Relevant techniques include qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting, SPR and HPLC (Affinity, SEC). Knowledge of automation approaches for analytical methods, and implementation of sample tracking systems is particularly desirable. Salaries for the role are expected to be in the 35 to 40k range.
