    My Client is a leading gene and cell therapy company focused on developing life changing treatments for serious diseases. The client has undergone recent expansion and is currently hiring an experienced Technical Manager. They will provide both technical and scientific leadership within the department along with developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and technology providers. My Client is looking for an experienced Technical manager who has worked within a GMP environment and can support the activities within the MSAT function. The role will undertake and focus around sterile and aseptic processing for both third party clinical and commercial sterile manufacturing activities. . Key responsibilities and accountabilities: ? Provide technical and scientific leadership within OXB on aseptic processing and fill/finish activities for clinical and commercial manufacturing including technology transfer, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of sterility assurance. ? Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) utilising your technical competence and knowledge in aseptic processing, fill-finish, inspection and packaging to provide guidance on best practices to improve aseptic processes and procedures and maintain regulatory compliance. ? Generate and review documentation supporting technology transfer and New Product Introductions (NPI). Define appropriate success criteria for technical transfer and provide/document evaluation of the technical outcomes. ? Provide subject matter expertise (SME) within OXB on clean room technologies, single use systems and raw materials, design of process simulations (media fills), sterile manufacture. ? Extensive knowledge of the design, validation, operation and maintenance of the controlled environment including clean rooms, isolators, RABs, sterilisation processes, environmental monitoring and routine disinfection. Experience of manual and automated fill finish operations would be ideal. ? Experience in preparation for and participation in inspections (including FDA & MHRA) as well as performing focused GMP audits of sterile facilities. Person Specification: ? Bachelor degree (Masters/PhD/EngD preferred) or equivalent experience in a relevant science (e.g. Biological Sciences, Microbiology,) with substantial relevant experience in an industrial setting ? PR&D works with the clients research teams involved in vector and cell engineering to ensure the seamless transfer of processes from research to manufacturing. The individual must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects either through direct supervision or in collaboration with the programme team. Provide technical and scientific leadership to clinical and commercial manufacturing on-site and third party CMO sites including technology transfer, technical troubleshooting, complex deviation investigations, change control, and continuous improvement. ?
